The Best Blackout Curtains For Bedroom and Living Room

If outdoor light disturbs your sleep, you can rest better with blackout or indoor darkening curtains.

If you need to darken a room, but want curtains that look good, we recommend blackout curtains. Unless you are very sensitive to light, these curtains should block enough light to help you sleep at night, and the fabric of the curtains looks much better than any fully blackout curtains we've seen.

We've tested a lot of blackout curtains and found that the ones that block out the most light tend to be made of inexpensive fabrics that look and feel upscale. While these curtains may let in a little light during the day, they block more light than many of the curtains we found.
